TroiaDoc - PixelRoom - Blimp
BlinkenLights Interactive Movie Program
To create movies for the pixel room, Blimp was used.
Blimp is a program to create Blinken movies, to convert them and to play them.
It is written in Java2 and should be executable on almost all platforms (e.g. Linux, MacOS, Solaris, Windows).
It can be run as an application or as an applet within a browser.
Supported File Formats
- blm - BlinkenLights Movie (only black/white, only 1 channel)
- bmm - BlinkenMini Movie (only 1 channel)
- bml - Blinkenlights Markup Language
- bbm - Binary Blinken Movie
Supported Resolutions
- Blimp supports any resolution from 1x1 to 1000x1000, up to 20 channels and up to 256 colors per channel
- the following resolutions are used with TROIA:
- 104x32-1/128 - 104x32 pixels, 1 channel, 128 grayscales - TROIA large walls
- 80x32-1/128 - 80x32 pixels, 1 channel, 128 grayscales - TROIA small walls
- 104x80-1/128 - 104x80 pixels, 1 channel, 128 grayscales - TROIA ceiling (and floor)
